I Made Tetris Cards, & You Can, too!

Like many other kids growing up in the 80s and 90s, Tetris was one of my very favorite games. When I saw the new Tetris die from A Pocketful of Happiness on Scrapbook.com, I knew I had to have it!

These cards were so fun to make; it felt like I was playing the game as I sorted the pieces and glued them in place. For the sentiments, I used a few older sets as well as a newer one from Hero Arts. If you want to hear more about the cards, or see some of the process of getting started, check out my latest YouTube Short. I’d love to hear which one is your favorite!

A mini-slimline seemed like the perfect size for a card like this, but after I made one, I realized I could only get 9 blocks across… but there really should be ten! Do you think anyone will notice?

I did an A2 card next; the ten blocks fit fine here and gave plenty of space for borders.

I was having fun mixing up the colors for the backgrounds and borders.

This is a larger slimline; large enough to accommodate 10 blocks:)

This one uses the design from the back of the die’s packaging.

I used lots of the leftover pieces to create the background for this one.

I saved the best for last! I knew I wanted to make an interactive card where the last piece drops into place, and I am so happy with how this came out!

The mechanism is of my own design. I love paper engineering and it’s one of the reasons I got into card making in the first place.

If you think you’d have as much fun as I did with this new die, please consider using my affiliate link to shop below! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
