Sharing My Maker Mania 11 Cards

Hi! I am pleased to tell you that you are reading my very first blog post. Actually, I blogged when I was a teenager about my life in an open-diary type format, but this is my first adult/crafting post!

I wanted to share some cards I made recently, inspired by Maker Mania 11. Maker Mania is an amazing 3-day, virtual paper crafting event put on by a group of brick-and-mortar craft stores in the United States and Canada. The owners and others that work at the stores create and share tons of cardmaking, scrapbooking, and other inspiration as well as teach a bunch of classes. Everything is contained in a private Facebook group for the event. If you can’t attend live, you can always access the videos, photos, and instructions later.

The Maker Mania 12 kit was loaded and included two die sets, a stamp set, a cut-and-emboss folder, 12 x 12 paper, acetate and vellum, stickers, and tons of ephemera. It was put together by Spellbinders and many of the products are from Rosie’s Studio. If you missed it, you can buy the products individually from your local craft store or from the Spellbinders website.

Here are some of the cards that I made, inspired by the event and the contents of the kit. Unfortunately, I threw out my back that weekend and wasn’t able to finish everything that I wanted. I decided it was time to post these pictures and move on. There is a lot more crafting to be done!

This was my second time attending Maker Mania, but it won’t be the last! I am already signed up for Maker Mania 12. If you are interested, you can read more about the event and find a list of brick and mortar stores to chose from on their Maker Mania Facebook page.

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you back here soon!
